Since 1991, our teams have run free eye camps across Niger, from Maradi to Dosso. One permanent hospital anchors the work, and now trains local eye-care professionals.
Our presence
One hospital in Maradi, doing two jobs.
The Makkah Eye Hospital in Maradi has anchored permanent eye care in Niger since 2009. Today it is also home to the Niger Institute for Comprehensive Eye Health, which trains the optometrists and ocular-care workers the region has always lacked.

Free mobile clinics
For 35 years our teams have carried screening, surgery, and glasses to Niger’s regions, reaching families a permanent hospital could never serve. The most recent camp ran in April 2026.
School screenings
Our teams screen schoolchildren across Niger, referring those who need treatment before their vision becomes a reason to fall behind.
