From our first eye camp in 1994 to our newest hospital in Ibadan in 2025, Al Basar’s work in Nigeria keeps expanding. Permanent care, local surgeons, doors that stay open.
Our presence
Three hospitals. One promise.
Permanent eye hospitals mean care that outlasts any single campaign. Kano has anchored the work for more than twenty years. Ibadan is the newest hospital in our entire network.

Hospitals anchor the work. Mobile clinics and classrooms extend it.
Free mobile clinics
Since October 1994, mobile clinics have brought screening, surgery, and glasses to 28 Nigerian cities far from any hospital.
School screenings
School eye-health campaigns in Bauchi (2020) and Kano (May 2024), catching children’s vision problems early. Children needing treatment are referred to Makkah Eye Hospital Kano.
